Dr. Iris Filzwieser got her master degree (M.sc.) in Metallurgy from the Montanuniversität Leoben, Austria in 2001 and her PhD in 2005. She founded Mettop GmbH in May 2005. Since then she is active as managing director of Mettop and responsible for finance and all general company management functions. In January 2014 she co-founded UrbanGold GmbH and is also part of the management.

Julia Essl Process Modelling
After attending the University of Leoben with focus on metallurgy and working for the Mettop company as a student assistant, Julia Essl joined UrbanGold early 2018 and is now mainly responsible for process simulation and process engineering.
DI Alejandro Robles Martin
Project Manager
Once he finished the studies of Chemical Engineering at the University Barcelona, he moved to Austria to learn German and complete a Master Degree of Process Engineering with focus on metal production and recycling technologies. In 2019 he joined UrbanGold and since 2023 he has been promoted to Project Manager of the Process Engineering Department.
Florian Filzwieser
Head of renewable Energies
Already during his studies of medical engineering, Florian came into contact with the topic of renewable energies several times. After completing his master’s degree, he decided to work in this field. Since 2023 Florian is responsible for this area as a project manager.
