The HENRI smelting vessel has been developed as answer to the continuous change of e-waste concentrates. On the one hand, the e-waste itself changes – new generations of devices are collected and found in the waste streams. On the other hand, the technologies of treating and sorting of these wastes are evolving. Target of all work was to develop a smelting vessel, capable of treating both highly enriched concentrates, but also providing a tailor-made solution for materials with a minimum of valuables.
Besides an intensive cooperation with our partners METTOP, PolyMet, and SMS, also local, national, and European funding agencies supported the company, as well as development and upscaling of the UrbanGold Technology:
- Styrian Business Promotion Agency SFG, programs “START!Klar”, “WELT!Markt”, and “IDEEN!Reich”
- Austrian Research Promotion Agency FFG, programs “Feasibility study” and “Basic Program”
- EIT RawMaterials, program “Upscaling Projects”
- H2020: Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, program “Boosting the Potential of Small Businesses in the Areas of Climate Action, Environment, Resource Efficiency, and Raw Materials”
